Like many of his favorite food creations, Diego himself is a lively mix of international ingredients. With a mother from the southern climes and a father from the Far East, Diego developed an adventurous palate early on. He would try anything, combine flavors, seek out new sensations.

Inevitably, his culinary curiosity led him to travel. But while he continually discovered new flavors from around the globe, he never found a more appealing way to present them than in his favorite food from growing up: the burger. Then one day in Barcelona, sitting outside at his favorite tapas café, it came to him: let people enjoy a big selection of flavors in small bites, with gourmet-quality, globally-inspired mini-burgers.

That was the start of Diego Zhang's Burger Cafe, the place where anyone and everyone can enjoy a little taste adventure, even if they only have a little time. They know the flavors will be fabulous, but not too far out. They count on quality ingredients, comfortable surroundings, and creativity in the cooking—like the Bangkok Thai shrimp burger or the Genoa chicken pesto burger. And they just keep coming back to see what in the world is new.

Diego still travels, regularly returning with new discoveries for the chefs at Diego Zhang’s. And he enjoys casually gathering with friends at the café, surprising them with new burgers, salads, soups and sweets like they’ve never tasted before. But his real passion?
